FARFORM R&D Center
Farform Automotive officially gained R&D Center status in June 2020. Farform R&D Center basically has three approaches; material, method and design. A cleaner and greener world starts with changing and lightening the materials used. With this awareness, innovative hybrid composite structures are developed using 100% recyclable polymers, natural fibers and felts in our projects. In addition, by analyzing the target market, trends and technologies, new methods are researched and developed to meet expectations, and intellectual-industrial property applications are made every year. While new generation high-performance, lightweight and sustainable products are developed with new materials and methods, projects are developed in collaboration with various universities, technology centers and industry partners.

Mobility
Mobility literally means movement from point A to point B or transition from the current situation to a new situation. Mobility actually means being mobile, that is, moving without any restrictions, and all kinds of software and tools that facilitate this movement are mobility products. These products are technology products that bring the distant closer, sometimes it is a remote access software and sometimes it is a unicycle that facilitates transportation. Mobility has especially had a significant impact on business life. Increasing human population and crowded cities cause people to spend a significant part of their time in traffic. At this point, an important need is met with the emergence of innovative solutions and technologies of mobility. Software that allows remote working and electric scooters and mopeds that can navigate narrow streets and roads satisfy both employees and employers.

One of the most important issues that mobility affects our lives is the green solutions it offers in transportation. While fossil fuel vehicles were the only solution for mobility in the past, they are now being replaced by electric vehicles. The popularity of L-class vehicles, which are especially preferred for close distances, is rapidly increasing all over the world. They are three- or four-wheeled, fully electric vehicles used for short-distance, package or load transportation, called “Last Step Delivery” or “Last Point Delivery”, which are very popular in our country.
As Farform, we work with the main industries that produce L-class electric vehicles throughout Europe and with many new initiatives that want to produce them. We offer polymeric and composite solutions within the scope of lightening efforts, especially for the weight restrictions of vehicles in this class, and we produce all vehicle interior trim and exterior trim (self-colored UV resistant) parts. The fact that thermoforming technology is fast, flexible and low-budget plays an important role in its preference by new generation electric vehicle manufacturers. Farform, which has a team specialized in thermoforming technology, also provides complete engineering services, including design, in projects.
